On Monday, 20-year-old Jewell Jones, was sworn in as an Inkster City Councilman, officially making him the youngest elected councilmen in the history of Inkster, Michigan!
In the final hours of his campaign Jones said, “The goal is to show our young people that something like this is very much attainable. The goal is greater than City Council, but always with Inkster in mind…I would like to do great things for our City. That's why I'm running. That's why winning is the only option.”
Congratulations, Jewell! You're an inspiration to young people everywhere. Who knows, a run for the U.S. presidency could be next!
